The expression ‘drop-dead gorgeous’ was never more apt than in the case of Katrina Merton because some men would quite literally die for her.
Fully aware of the effect she has on men, Katrina is determined to find and punish the pervert who sexually assaulted her sister and designs to ‘bump into’ him in the dark corner of a deserted car park in order to exact revenge.
DCI Harvey Livermore questions Katrina about evidence in the pervert’s death and she hopes he will accept her story in exchange for offering herself as bait in a honey-trap to help catch a serial killer, responsible for the murders of two women.
Justin Remington is the prime suspect in Livermore’s latest case and Katrina joins the same dating agency he is with, in order to get close to him. She is surprised by how charming he is and finds it difficult to see him as a killer, so when a third woman is murdered, she is shocked to discover that Justin has been arrested.
Soon, a string of other suspects emerge. Can Katrina have been right in her initial assessment of Justin, or has she made a deadly mistake?
This clever crime thriller from award-winning journalist and writer, Tony Flood, keeps you guessing to the sensational final twist at the end.
"Triple Tease comes up with a thrilling plot and unique romance. The glamorous Katrina sets out to trap suspected killer Justin but when he starts to fall in love with her she finds herself responding. Readers are desperate to discover if it will end in blissful harmony – or death. Triple Tease is full of suspense, twists, turns and passionate relationships."

EXCERPT
Katrina sat at the back of the community centre hall listening to DCI Livermore’s interesting talk to about 30 WI members on what precautions women could take to reduce the risk of being victims of crime.
‘That newspaper reporter missed the point completely,’ she thought. ‘Far from wasting his time, Livermore is passing on valuable advice and giving the WI members reassurance.’
She did not make her presence known until the policeman was about to leave. Then, barging her way in front of a huge woman, who was about to attach herself to him, Katrina walked alongside Livermore and asked if she could have a few words.
“What can I do for you, Miss Merton?” he replied brusquely as they walked out of the building.
“Actually I think there’s something I can do for you, Chief Inspector.”
“This is rather inappropriate, Miss Merton, especially as I’m intending to invite you back to Sussex House to interview you under caution regarding the murder of Hugo Protheroe.”
She blanched but refused to be put off. “Perhaps you might want to take a rain check on that when you realise what I have in mind.”
“If it’s what I think it is then you’ll be wasting your time, Miss Merton.”
“You’ve got it wrong, Chief Inspector. What I’m offering is not my body but my help in catching the serial killer who’s so far eluded you and caused you to be heavily criticised in the Press.”
They were now walking along the road together.
“And what are you suggesting?”
“I’ve read up on the murders of two local women and see that both of them were members of a dating agency in Brighton. You arrested a male member of the same agency but had to let him go through lack of evidence. Well, if I joined that dating agency I could make a point of going out with your main suspect and helping you catch him.”
“I think you’ve been watching too many far-fetched television programmes, Miss Merton.”
“You seem to forget that I worked for MI5 so I’m not naive about undercover operations. I processed reports from surveillance teams who followed the movements of terrorists and tapped their phone calls. I would be the perfect person to help you carry out such an operation.”
“And just why would you make me this offer?”
“I think you know.”
They had reached Livermore’s car. He opened the passenger door and invited her to get in.
When they were both seated he stared at her. Katrina felt obliged to speak again. “You say you were planning to interview me under caution - presumably about my fingerprints being in the Rover. I thought I’d explained that to you. I was given a lift in the car at some time - if not by Landen Patel then by one of his friends.”
“You don’t sound too sure. I think this particular topic is something we should discuss at the police station.”
“Can’t we talk informally about it now? Loads of students were probably passengers in that car at one time or another - sometimes spaced out after a few drinks. I don’t see why it’s so difficult for you to accept that I was among them.”
“Perhaps you drove the car yourself?”
“No, I didn’t.”
“But you knew that Patel kept the keys in his locker.”
“So did a lot of people - that’s just circumstantial.”
“No doubt you would claim it was only circumstantial that you used the same college car park in which Hugo Protheroe was murdered. The same car park where we believe he sexually assaulted your sister three months earlier?”
“So what are you suggesting, Chief Inspector?”
“I’m suggesting that you had a good motive to kill him.”
“Yes, I had a motive, but no doubt so did many other women if he was a rapist.”
“Unlike them, you were working in the college, holding an evening class on the night of the murder.”
“So are you planning to arrest me?” Katrina’s attempt at posing the question as a challenge did not work because she was trembling with fear.
Livermore didn’t answer so she continued. “I’m hoping that your concerns about me and the Rover can become academic if I help you by catching another pervert.”
“Ah, yes. The plan you mentioned just now for you to meet our murder suspect through his dating agency and get him to confess.”
Katrina sighed, causing Livermore’s smirk to change to a smile. It gave her some encouragement.
“I think you need to take my offer seriously, Chief Inspector. You believe this killer could strike again, don’t you? And I could help you prevent it by acting as bait. If he attacks me while you’re keeping surveillance then other women will no longer be in danger.”
“What you’re proposing is unethical, Miss Merton, and completely against police procedures. I am duty bound to follow them.”
“You mean the way they were followed while the Yorkshire Ripper killed 13 women? And when all those poor kids were sexually assaulted while Jimmy Savile and Cyril Smith escaped prosecution? Yes, you’d be breaking the rules - but you could be saving a woman’s life. I think you should seriously consider what I’m offering you.”

“Tony Flood has come up with an addictive thriller that really thrills. It's laced with humour and some sizzling sex scenes that, for me, outdo those of E.L. James, Jackie Collins and Jilly Cooper.”
